How Pay Per Call can Help Your Business Flourish

How pay per call could help your business

Hello, today we’re going to talk about PPC only ads or as some like to call it pay per call. These are ads directed to people that are using mobile devices and they will not appear on desktop devices but only on devices that have a capability to make a phone call. So the main three things we’re going to talk about is what are these ads, and about the cost as well and why should you use them.

A couple of other things here, they are more effective, less expensive, Greater ROI, yes, they are more effective because with a desktop ad, people will often click to your website and then they just look around and maybe go someplace else, or they don’t call. Desktop ads are still useful, but the mobile ads are more effective in that there’s a strong call to action button for the user to call, is very powerful. People will call through that.

You’ll get more callers through your mobile ad than you will from a desktop ad with a button to call there because on the desktop they’ve got to pick up their phone and type in the numbers and all that. On the mobile ad, they don’t have to do anything. They just hit the call button, and they’re on their way. They don’t have to type anything in or remember a number and call it.

It’s also less expensive. My tests have shown that the cost per click or per call that click that you get charged from Google is less costly typically about from what I saw about 30 percent, but you’re going to get so much more return investment on these because with a desktop ads, people click and they look around and they go someplace else, but these users getting the call ads on the phone, that’s what you want.

How to Learn Affiliate Marketing as a Beginner

We’ve all seen the internet spam, “Make money online through this website”, “I know earn such and such amount of money”, etc. But what if we told you that there’s an actual way to do make that money from home, in great part thanks to affiliate marketing. Beginning is easy, given that you really don’t need any actual money to begin, and you don’t have to worry about losing friends due to ripping someone off.

Niche Down

The first thing you need to do is to pick some kind of market or topic with which to work, one that you’re interested in and think has market potential. It’s important to consider whether there might be many products associated that you can begin selling, or if the audience for the market can actually reach it. Finding this topic, or niche as most affiliates say, can be done easily and with a bit of research. Many websites nowadays provide the information for you to look for your market.

Pick Something to Promote

After you get your niche, now’s the time to pick what you’re going to be promoting. There are various websites that can have the products that you want (know as affiliate networks), and you’ll just have to go ahead and browse for the best ones. In case you’re not confident, you can find help online about which site has good affiliate offers, helping you pick a path for the all-important affiliate link.

Create Content

Now that you have what you want to sell, and how you want it, now’s the time for you to have the where! Build your own website for you to share with others, so you can begin earning the affiliate links.

It’s very important to remember you have to fill this with relevant content, you want whoever is interested in your niche to also be interested in your site, and you want for your recommendations to be as attractive to them as possible. Remember what we said at the beginning, you need to pick not only something that has a market but something that’s interesting for you and that you can write for.

Find an Audience

After all that, you’re only left with one important thing. Sharing your link like crazy, and getting as many people as possible going to your site. The way for you to do this varies in great part with your social media presence, and the best way for you to reach members of your niche, so always try to keep both of them into account when doing this. Either way, it’s essential to already have a good website to share, so go ahead and start!

What Types of SEO Clients Should I Go After?

What Kinds of Clients Should You Prospect?

*Article has been updated for relevance in 2018

Finding clients is one of the most difficult aspects of starting your career in SEO/internet marketing. Unfortunately, when it comes to acquisition, everyone seems to have a different approach (which is actually good) so, in this post, the opinions expressed here are simply what works for the author.

In general, there are two types of clients.

White Collar

White collar clients are the corporate types and, in general, had to pursue a higher education degree to get their job. They will include professions like doctors, dentists, surgeons, and lawyers.

Blue Collar

Blue collar clients are in some sort of service-based industry. These professions include roofers, plumbers, electricians etc.

Okay, So Which Is Better?

While an argument could be made for both types of client, this author believes that blue collar clients are preferable overall. The reason for this is that their industries will make just as much money as a white collar client, but they generally appreciate hard work and are less likely to feel entitled. Of course I am not suggesting that all white collar businesspeople are entitled, but because they went to school for so long (and paid a lot for it), they (in general) tend to not like being told how things should go. What this means for you is that you will likely have more run-ins with them, and they will want to be more involved in your work, which will make your job more difficult.

White collar clients on the other hand will (again, in general), be more willing to acknowledge that you are the professional and know what you are doing. This makes things incredibly easy, and will ultimately help both you and them.

But I Care About ROI!

You might be saying, “how on earth can a mold removal company (for example) make as much as a doctor?”. The truth is, many service-based jobs (mold and other emergency services in particular) can cost quite a pretty penny. For example, mold removal can range from between $500 and $10,000 per job, which means that each customer your client gets is worth quite a bit.

To expand on this point, we asked a local mold removal company how much one hot lead is worth to them.

Inbound calls from people who are actively looking for mold removal are incredibly valuable to us because they are already so far along in the buying process that they close up to 50% more than any other type of lead.

— James Head of Customer Acquisition

The numbers there are clear. If you can provide calls from people interested in high-ticket services, you will have companies willing to pay big bucks for them, regardless of whether they are a surgeon or a landscaper. In fact, businesses (like the one at this website) are built entirely around this model, and it has been found to be incredibly lucrative. So lucrative in fact, that it is estimated in a new study to be worth over $100 billion per year.

Ultimately, it is up to you to decide what types of clients you want to go after, but always remember that it is your job to bring them more visibility, so be sure to do your research into the niche before jumping in.

The State of SEO in 2017

What is the Status of SEO in 2017

As is commonplace whenever Google releases one if its major updates, the SEO community quickly goes into an uproar and claims of SEO being dead begin to circulate. With Google’s most recent (and highly controversial) Fred update just a few months ago, marketers are once again questioning whether SEO is still a good way to drive traffic. The good news is that it is, but the bad news is that it is definitely more difficult than before.

What are the latest updates and trends?

Don’t worry, search engine optimization is still a multi billion dollar industry and growing rapidly every day, but things have certainly changed. To find out how the landscape is shifting, we asked a search engine optimization expert to weigh in on the most recent changes to the algorithm and peoples perception of SEO from a client standpoint.

SEO is certainly changing every day, especially with the live Penguin and the most recent Fred update, but I don’t think that things are really that different. For us, the methods we use have remained consistent over the last few years (with tweaking to a few things), while other agencies have had to update their entire process to keep up with the algorithm changes. I think that the changes have actually been a good thing because they weed out the people who were able to get by with shady tactics before, and it’s really been improving the search results as a whole.

– Justin M. Account Manage at a Buffalo SEO Company

Of course, improving the search results is something Google is always striving for, as the end-user experience is what is keeping them miles ahead of competitors like Yahoo and Bing, but some have a different view of the updates and the tactics they target. We spoke with another SEO professional whose clients have been majorly impacted by the algorithm changes.

I honestly don’t think these new updates are a good thing at all. From the standpoint of Google, they want to make their results as high quality as possible, but the way they measure “quality” really puts small local businesses at a disadvantage. The reason that sites like Yelp, Houzz, BBB and the other common national authorities you always see at the top of the results are there is because they have more inherent “trust” in the eyes of Google. This puts small local businesses at a HUGE disadvantage because how can they even come close to getting that much trust without resorting to tactics that Google frowns upon?

– Ron B. Lead SEO at a National Marketing Company

This brings up a good point, but it is a catch-22 that has two equally difficult sides. On one hand, having national authority brands at the top of the search results means that users are getting a verified, trusted, and nationally recognized result. On the other hand, it means that legitimate businesses have a hard time competing and gaining the exposure they need to thrive from organic traffic. Then again, if Google allows “untrusted” local businesses to the top of the results, it makes it easy for spammers to rank sites (like what happened with locksmiths), and decreases the quality of the search results. This is truly a problem that Google have been combating for years and, while the algorithm has been improving, it is something they will have to continuously improve upon for years to come.
